History

This website lists parts, vehicles and workshop equipment left in the warehouses of a company created in 1948 and ceased in 1998.

The former company, in 50 years of activity, has worked in the spare parts, repair, sale of bikes, motorcycles, cars, tractors and trucks.

The former company began with the repair of the first bicycles, and then Isomoto, Vespa, Lambretta, Moto Guzzi, Fiat 500N, Fiat 600, NSU, Innocenti, Citroen, etc.

The period of construction of the A1 Rome-Florence highway section, 1959-1962 years, and the first years of the same stretch, 1963-1969, were particularly relevant for this company.

From 1959 to 1962, the company has devoted itself mainly to the repair of wrecked trucks that participated in the construction of the "highway of the sun".

From 1963 to 1969, the company dedicated itself almost exclusively to the repair of cars on the A1 highway, with 8 mechanics using a room of 20 square meters and the square in front of the workshop in the Esso area of ​​Montepulciano. become the point of destination of the damaged vehicles that ACI rescue collected between Orte and Arezzo or better between Rome and Florence; Cars of all types and nationalities, from the Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 and 1600 (a "melted" engine every day, at a minimum, until the Alfa Romeo increased the flow of the cooling oil pump) to the Rolls Royce of Charlotte Chaplin daughter of Charlie Chaplin, not forgetting ministers' cars, senior officials, actors, singers, etc., some of whom had acquired confidence and seized the opportunity to pass through that stretch of highway, to stop and check their cars.

After the highway period, a source of great satisfaction but also of great physical wear (working 12 hours a day and getting up at night, in the winter cold, practically outdoors, repairing the dynamo and more to continue the journey to the customers) brought the owner of the company to a more peaceful work of sale and repair of cars, motorcycles, bicycles and spare parts warehouse for the workshops of the surrounding area.

The company continued as Official Dealer / Authorized Distributor / Authorized Workshop: Legnano, Bianchi, etc., Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Aprilia, Italjet, Tomos, etc., Fiat, Innocenti, Citroen, etc. and then ended, suddenly, in 1998.
